Love God, love people

Jesus is LORD Posted on Sun, March 05, 2017 07:58:47

Your response to the love of God is to love God, love people. (Romans 5:5; 1John 3:23)
God bless.

Matthew 22:36-40-

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Demonstrate faith by asking Christ’s will

Jesus is LORD Posted on Fri, February 17, 2017 11:51:29

To ask in faith is the expectation to receive. Remember, it’s God’s ability requested. I show you a mystery, you can place a demand on anything in the Spirit and see it manifest. I am sure God’s discretion will favour the righteous, and supply every need. Only be in line with His divine will and mandate for that time. Praise Him. God bless.

1 John 5:14-15

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

Exercising faith in prayer for the persecuted Church

Jesus is LORD Posted on Wed, February 01, 2017 08:55:46

A prayer.

For the persecuted Church to continually triumph over the gates of hell.

For the peace of God to continually rest over His people in every nation, and the gospel to advance effectively.

For God to distinguish His true servants and shepherds- those who care for the flock, from hirelings, so the body of Christ will be strengthened as they mark those who pleasure in division and avoid them.

For those ‘legally empowered’ to act in defense of lives and properties to do so effectively, especially Christians and every other vulnerable persons in hostile places. To ability to tell what difference, and specific approach needed, for lasting peace.

For wisdom to be thankful, as we weigh our burdens in relation to that which others bear, and to see the grace and purpose of God beyond our righteousness.

For oneness in the body, as Christ is one with the Father continually, so the Church might be formidable in showcasing the love of God.

For grace to continue in prayers and worship to keep seeing your hand of deliverance(s). And for wisdom for those who serve as leaders, to remember your sovereignty.

In the name of Jesus Christ. [John 10:1-18; Romans 16:17; Galatians 6:2; Matthew 16 :18, 5:44; 1 Timothy 2:2]

The real talk of faith

Jesus is LORD Posted on Thu, January 26, 2017 08:55:04

There is a talk of faith that is as one expressed in a living God as seen in Christ by a person who believes, then there is the other which is identifying with a religious understanding, some form of mental assent to the ethics. If you truly have the first you will have the second experience. But you may have the second- which is a religious and intellectual undertaking and yet yet to embrace the reality of relationship, as in the first, meeting Christ spiritually. In that place consummating, believing, the truth of God revealed is crucial – becoming one with it. This is more than an illusory idea, or the mere claim of some high knowledge far from the truth. When the Apostles and early believers spoke of faith, they meant a living faith. The one and only prize to be won, above all. Thanks be to God. God bless.

2 Timothy 1:12b

“… for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”

Lifting thanks to God

Jesus is LORD Posted on Wed, December 28, 2016 09:08:21

This has been a fantastic year of the goodness of God. When I think of how faithful God has been and is, all I can say is thanks. It is preferable to be under His leading, for He is glorified in every nation. I urge you in Christ’s name to reflect on what He has done for you- search and count. The unseen battles and sweatless victories, the joy of knowing Him, His righteous reward(s) and provision, His love and care, for revelations of His grace, His help and promises, the blessing of family, friends and strangers of goodwill, answered prayers and restraints, the presence of His Spirit and supernatural direction, even where privileged to be persecuted Christ is lifted up- the list goes on.

None of us is deserving of anything, only by His mercy. For God is good all the time. This is why you can rely on Him as you step into 2017. The same God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you who believe. As a true believer of Christ, God goes ahead of you, leading the victory parade, beyond the whims and caprices of Satan and his cohorts. And God loves you. Praise the Lord! God bless.

Emulating the unseen God

Jesus is LORD Posted on Tue, November 08, 2016 08:37:47

The way we emulate God we can’t see is by looking at Christ, His visible expression. Following after Him. Consider Philip’s noble demand to Christ, saying, show us God it will be enough, then Christ stuns him the more in reply- I am here! No one meets the body of a man, gives it a hand shake and request to meet the soul elsewhere. Basically you’ve met God when you meet Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Right there is the experience of grace and power. Glory to God. Thank you Lord.
God bless.

John 14:8-11 [Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3]
“Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.”

Response to the move of God

Jesus is LORD Posted on Mon, November 07, 2016 21:55:48

I perceive some say, so what does the Lord want us to do? To love Him as the sovereign God of the nations. And bow to no other image by placing it as god and corrupting your worship. To humbly seek His will, knowing in His good purpose you find great peace, life, satisfaction and heavenly blessing. Again you say, will evil cease if we do these things? I say to you by the unction of the Spirit, will the Lord be honoured if you don’t do what He requires? Beloved, God speaks clearly, blessed is that man or woman whose heart is to please Jehovah God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise Him for He is worthy of it and powerful enough to instruct His will. Cheers, God bless.

Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

Daniel’s faith

Jesus is LORD Posted on Fri, September 09, 2016 12:29:05

Today, let’s consider how Daniel demonstrated incredible faith in God. How do you respond to a vindictive public policy or adjustment of no fault of yours, but meant to get you specifically? [These things could happen, at whatever level of influence.] Daniel knew the answer- prayer, and continual trust in God. God came through for him, sending His Angel to bring deliverance, as he worshipped God despite the calculated restraint. So the evil counsel to the King against Daniel lost the potency, and the plan came on their own heads and families, and the mouths of the lions were tamed.

Read Daniel 6. I declare whatever conspiracy and wicked plot against you is defeated as you trust Christ at work in you, in Jesus name. The key for Daniel was not his confidence that he chose not to hide, or that he prayed facing Jerusalem, or that he prayed three times daily (which was good spiritual routine anyway)- it was that he had faith, trusted God confidently and lived in obedience, he wasn’t just following a man-made program but he was actively seeking God, so God honoured him according to His mercy and good purpose. Amen. Thanks be to God. God bless.

Daniel 6:10 (Hebrews 11:33)
“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”

Teaching on Acceptable fruit, through faith in Christ alone- Matthew 25:31-46

Jesus is LORD Posted on Sun, June 12, 2016 08:19:12

Matthew 25:31-46

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Notes from this scriptural context:

i. You are justified by faith in Christ not deeds, albiet a faith producing fruit of righteousness.

ii. It’s by connecting with Christ in obedience you receive strength to be spiritually productive.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4
iii. The manner of our relation with others, irrespective of their state, is often testament of our relationship with Christ. For a renewed heart is predisposed to good works.
iv. The great reward awaits the believer when Christ comes in glory, sitted on His throne. For work done from the place of faith. It is better in all of our labours not to lose sight of this, as nothing will compare.

Revelation 22:12
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”

v. Good fruit is from good seed. Christ in you will produce a worthy harvest. This is why the focus is never how can I act differently, but rather how can I come in relationship with Christ. Only God can govern a pure thought and a rightly motivated action.

Luke 6:44
“For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.”

vi. Jesus Christ reminds us, whatever worthy thing you do to the ‘least of these my brethren’ you have done to Him. As we prioritise the kingdom and walk in faith, do not forget to show kindness to all like the Samaritan in the scriptures.

Galatians 6:10
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

vii. Our faith in Christ grants us the opportunity and grace to display the glory of God. For through the death and resurrection of the Lord this is possible, as a seed decays but births a new life. We were created for good works.

Ephesians 2:10.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

God bless.
