Obey first in believing, then do. Never rely on the strength of your efforts or sacrifices but on Christ’s, as God’s grace exceeds that. Your obedience must be a product of belief in God’s instructions not mechanically ticking the rule box. This is the sacrifice that’s pleasing to God- one based on faith. Consider Abel and Cain. Praise Him.
Romans 12:1-2 (Hebrews 11:4,6)
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
